Values
We should never forget that the foundation of our Republic is our Judeo-Christian values. Our Founding Fathers recognized we are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, and that government is formed to secure these rights and guard our liberties. It is what makes us different as a people, and exceptional as a nation. At the center of these values is God and family.
In an age where government is for some the answer to every problem, our families and our autonomy is under assault. The more government is seen as a substitute for family, the more we secularlize our nation, and lose the values that make us special–self reliance, community, generosity, and faith. During my time in the Senate I defended our values. I am pro-family, pro-life and a supporter of traditional marriage between a man and a woman. If given the chance to represent the people of Florida again in the U.S. Senate, I will continue to defend these values.
I pray that God blesses you abundantly as you defend these VERY KEY values. Without them our foundation is lost.

Did you vote for the new jobs bill, or did you follow the Republican lead and filibuster against the bill even reaching the floor for a vote? This legislation is necessary to get the economy moving. By sitting on the side lines you are doing NOTHING to stimulate the economy. Doing nothing is hurting our situation even further. What are you saying by stifling job creation? Creating jobs is the single most important item on the agenda. Please act to positively to create jobs.
